New technology has revolutionized ceramic decal printing. Now, patent-protected ceramic toners from Europe allow near-photographic, full-color, and continuous-tone printing. Perhaps the biggest advantage for the studio artist is that small runs (even single runs) are inexpensive and fast.
This new technology differs greatly from the old-school method of decal printing (silk-screening), which involves expensive and time-consuming setup procedures. The speed and flexibility of digital printing provide the artist with greater options.
There are only a few of these digital printing facilities in the United States, and Easy Ceramic Decals is a company that specializes in working with artists. As an artist-owned and -operated company, we understand the budgetary and time constraints that often exist in the studio.
